Greece: A Break in Athens

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA)   “Athens is not only the Parthenon” is what Joanna Kakissis suggests in her article “36 Hours in Athens, Greece” published in the travel section of the New York Times (May 4). The author recommends a trip around Athens instead of a hasty escape to the islands. Thanks to many of its unknown or underestimated charms, Athens is ideal for a three-day break. Apart from museums and historical sites, the city possesses natural beauty and keeps some of its real jewels hidden. Whether for a gourmet dinner or just a romantic view from above, even the most demanding visitors will be happily surprised by Athens’ tempting offerings.
