In Memory of Dolly Goulandris

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA)  Dolly Goulandris, founder of the Museum of Cycladic Art, passed away on February 15, following a battle with cancer. In 1985, London-born Dolly founded the Nicholas P. Goulandris Museum – named after her husband – and donated to it their collection of Cycladic and ancient Greek art. This unique collection is housed in the Museum of Cycladic Art.  In his message of condolences, Culture Minister Michalis Liapis said: “Dolly Goulandris created one of the most modern and important museums in Greece. She contributed a great deal to the protection and promotion of our cultural heritage. She leaves a legacy to the younger generations by which she will be remembered forever.”  Athens News: Dolly Goulandris dies
