(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) Athens’ biggest park, “Pedion tou Areos” near the city centre, is set for a €9 million overhaul, according to plans unveiled on March 4 by the Athens-Piraeus Prefecture. Acclaimed architect Alexandros Tombazis has undertaken the whole project that will include the addition of 90,000 new plants and trees, the renovation of two theatres, the creation of a skateboard park, as well as better lightening throughout the park.
