Vocational Training
(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) is organising a two-day conference (October 5-6) on Qualifications for Lifelong Learning and Employability. A hundred and fifty participants will be examining several aspects of changes in qualifications such as to what extent these changes affect all European countries and what the implications of these changes are for future policy cooperation in education and training.
New Media, New Content
An international conference titled “New Media, New Content” organised by the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute and the University of Athens Media Department on October 7 will be held at the Press Centre of the Secretariat General of Communication – Secretariat General of Information.
Renowned speakers from the United States and Greece will lead four sessions on: New Media Platforms and Content, The Changing Face of Content, Social Networks, and All about Content. This international, full-day conference is open to the public. It aims at exploring ways in which new media have penetrated people’s lives on a communication level.
Science & Technology Workshops
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Greece, the Russian Ministry of Education and Sciences, and the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of Hellenic Ministry of Development of Greece are organising a workshop titled “Nanotechnologies, Novel nanostructured and carbon materials” at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Athens, from October 4 to 10.
Collaborative Networks
The 10th International Federation for Information Processing Working Conference on Virtual Enterprises titled “Leveraging Knowledge for Innovation in Collaborative Networks” is scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki from October 7 to 9.
