(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) Christmas in Athens, the favourite holiday for young and old, is here again to fill the city with games, light, and music. Impressive ornaments, a unique and different Christmas tree, games and events for children of all ages, digital music and games, treats and street bands, as well as hundreds of fireworks will make up this year’s holiday scene in Athens.
Sparkling lights and designer holiday decorations will turn the city’s squares, the National Gardens and Zappeio into a fairytale setting.
Syntagma square will be the heart of celebrations with an impressive Christmas tree created with some 250 natural fir trees which, after the holiday season will be planted in one of Attica’s most fire-ravaged areas.
