Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Grecji zaprasza:

Naszym przewodnikiem po wyspie będzie Pani Sula Vilanaki, dziennikarka i pisarka pochodząca z Krety i tam mieszkająca (na co dzień współpracuje z czasopismami, gazetami i radiem). Założycielka amatorskiej grupy teatralnej “Theatro Dichos Onoma” (Teatr Bez Nazwy), autorka powieści “Kardia mou” (Moje serce).
Podczas ilustrowanego fotografiami spotkania przeniesiemy się na szlaki, którymi nie podążają grupy turystyczne, podziwiać będziemy harmonię krajobrazu i przyrodę wyspy. Zajrzymy też do kawiarni i tradycyjnych tawerenek. Poznamy nawet sekrety ich kuchni!
Prelekcja odbędzie się w języku nowogreckim, z tłumaczeniem na język polski.

Touristic attractions of Naxos

The island of Naxos is the largest and most fertile of the Cyclades.
Due to its important agricultural production, it was one of the latest to open itself to tourism. For that reason, it has kept its authentic beauty which attracts every year more and more visitors.

Antiparos:Caves, History and Cycladic Charm

Paros has for years been a household name even to those who have never visited the Greek islands.
But Antiparos – just 30 minutes by boat from Parikia, the capital of Paros, or a mere six minutes by ferry from Paros’ popular Pounta Beach – has yet to be discovered by more than those who have already been initiated in its hidden treasures:
One of the oldest and loveliest stalactite and stalagmite caves in the world; the remains of a Venetian Castle built in 1440 to protect inhabitants from pirate raids; innumerable white churches with blue domes scattered all over the island; secluded emerald beaches.
On Faneromeni beach, at the small church of Panagia Faneromeni, the September 7 annual Festival will once again treat lucky visitors with grilled octopus, tsikoudia – and warm hospitality.

To the south-west of Antiparos lies uninhabited Despotiko islet, the archaeological findings of which are turning it into an Archaeological Park.

Greece will defend its sovereign rights

The Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs issued announcements concerning the sea surveys conducted by “Piri Reis,” a Turkish naval research ship in an area between the Greek island of Kastellorizo and Cyprus.

The Greek Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the “Piri Reis surveys an area outside Greek territorial waters, however, Athens has claimed the rights to potential undersea mineral and fossil fuel deposits.”

National Defence Minister Evangelos Venizelos said that “Athens is watching closely” and that “in any case, Greece will defend its sovereign rights.”

Crete, the island of miracles

Amorgos at Polish tourist magazine H2O

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) In the April issue of the Polish tourist magazine H2O, Marek Slodownik introduces the Cycladic island of Amorgos to the lovers of sailing and “the deep blue.”

The article provides readers with tips on how to enjoy sailing, while gazing at the coasts of Amorgos, as well as information on the island’s history and hidden tourist attractions such as locations where the famous film “The Big Blue” was shot.
The author reports that Greece is a favoured destination for Polish tourists, as approximately 250,000 visit the country every year.
