Athens: Ιnternational Conference on the Return of Cultural Property

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA)   In the framework of the activities of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in case of Illicit Appropriation. Greek Parliament President visits New Acropolis Museum

(ATHENS NEWS AGENCY) Parliament President Dimitris Sioufas was visibly impressed following his visit to the new Acropolis Museum on Wednesday and congratulated all Greek governments from 1976 onwards for their efforts.Sioufas, who was offered a guided tour of the museum by Culture Minister Michalis Liapis, was accompanied by members of the parliament’s Standing Committee on Cultural and Educational Affairs. Cambridge & Oxford Union Societies say “YES” to the return of the Parthenon Marbles

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) The Cambridge Union Society held on Monday a debate on the motion This House would return the Parthenon Marbles to the New Acropolis Museum in Athens.” The final results appeared in favour of the repatriation of the Marbles with 117 “ayes,” in contrast to 46 “noes”.
