Εκδήλωση για τον Καβάφη στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πόζναν με τη συνεργασία της Πρεσβείας και του Γραφείου Τύπου (21/3/2013)
Εκδήλωση για τον ποιητή Κωνσταντίνο Καβάφη πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 21 Μαρτίου (Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ποίησης) στο Τμήμα Νεοελληνικής Γλώσσας και Λογοτεχνίας του πολωνικού Πανεπιστημίου του Poznan “Adam Mickiewicz”, όπου παρέστησαν η πρέσβης Τασία Αθανασίου και η προϊσταμένη του Γραφείου Τύπου, Μαρία Μονδέλου.
Η εκδήλωση εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο των επιστημονικών και πολιτισμικών εκδηλώσεων, τις οποίες έχει προγραμματίσει το Τμήμα Νεοελληνικής Γλώσσας και Λογοτεχνίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Πόζναν στη διάρκεια του 2013 ως «Έτους Καβάφη» (21 Μαρτίου, Μάιος, Οκτώβριος) και έχουν τεθεί υπό την αιγίδα των Πρεσβειών της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου στη Βαρσοβία.
Με τίτλο «Ποιητική βραδιά αφιερωμένη στον Κ. Καβάφη», η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε στο μέγαρο Collegium Minus του Πανεπιστημίου του Πόζναν. Στο πρώτο μέρος ο πολωνός συγγραφέας και μεταφραστής του καβαφικού έργου, Antoni Libera, έδωσε διάλεξη με θέμα «Γιατί και πώς μεταφράζω την ποίηση του Καβάφη;». Ακολούθησε ανάγνωση ποιημάτων του Καβάφη σε ξένες γλώσσες.
Η πρέσβης της Ελλάδας Τασία Αθανασίου απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό, στον οποίο μεταξύ άλλων τόνισε τη σημασία της εκδήλωσης για τον ποιητή Κωνσταντίνο Καβάφη ως Έλληνα της διασποράς, ο οποίος αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα της παγκοσμιότητας του ελληνικού πνεύματος.
Χαιρετισμούς απηύθυναν, επίσης, ο πρέσβης της Κύπρου, Ανδρέας Ζήνωνος, η πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας, Krystyna Tuszynska, και ο αντιπρύτανης του Πανεπιστημίου του Πόζναν, Jacek Witkos.
Παράλληλα, σε συνάντηση με τον αντιπρύτανη του Πανεπιστημίου του Πόζναν, Jacek Witkos, οι πρέσβεις της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου είχαν την ευκαιρία να συζητήσουν θέματα συνεργασίας των δύο Πρεσβειών με το Πανεπιστήμιο.
Μεγάλη δημοσιότητα στην εκδήλωση, με ειδικές αναφορές στην παρουσία των πρέσβεων της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου, έδωσαν τα ΜΜΕ του Πόζναν.
Για τις εκδηλώσεις του “Έτους Καβάφη”, το Τμήμα Νεοελληνικής Γλώσσας και Λογοτεχνίας του Πανεπιστημίου Πόζναν εξέδωσε την ακόλουθη ανακοίνωση:
Year of Cavafy – Announcement of the Department of Modern Greek Language and Literature at the University of Poznan
The Department of Modern Greek Language and Literature at the University of Poznan in Poland, wishing to associate itself to the commemorative celebrations marking the 150 years since the birth of Constantine K. Cavafy, organizes a series of events that will take place in the city of Poznan throughout the year.
The launching date of the celebrations will be the World Poetry Day, on March 21, 2013 . On that date there is scheduled a poetry evening dedicated to the Greek poet K. Cavafy, entitled “In a foreign language our sorrow and love fade away”.
The event will start with a lecture by the author and last translator of Cavafy’s poems in the Polish language, Mr. Antoni Libera, entitled «Dlaczegoijaktłumaczę poezję Kawafisa?». It will be followed by a reading of several of K. Cavafy’s poems in more that 20 different languages.
Διάλεξη της προϊσταμένης του Γραφείου Τύπου στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Πόζναν για τη βενετοκρατούμενη Κρήτη (22/2/2013)
Διάλεξη με θέμα «Η περίοδος της βενετοκρατίας στην Κρήτη» έδωσε η προϊσταμένη του Γραφείου Τύπου Βαρσοβίας, Μαρία Μονδέλου, στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Πόζναν στις 22 Φεβρουαρίου.
Η διάλεξη πραγματοποιήθηκε ύστερα από πρόσκληση του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Poznan “Adam Mickiewicz”, με πρωτοβουλία τoυ λέκτορα Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας, Χρήστου Μπιντούδη.
Στο πλαίσιο διαλέξεων της Μ. Μονδέλου σε πολωνικά πανεπιστήμια στη διάρκεια του εκάστοτε ακαδημαϊκού έτους από το 2009 και εξής, η συγκεκριμένη ομιλία απευθυνόταν σε μέλη του διδακτικού και επιστημονικού προσωπικού, φοιτητές και μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικής Γλώσσας και Λογοτεχνίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Πόζναν.
Ως προς το περιεχόμενο της διάλεξης, στο πρώτο μέρος παρουσιάστηκαν τα σημαντικότερα ορόσημα των μακραίωνων ελληνο-βενετικών σχέσεων, ποικίλες όψεις της ιστορίας της βενετοκρατίας στον ελληνικό χώρο, καθώς και τα χαρακτηριστικά της βενετικής κυριαρχίας, ενώ επισημάνθηκαν συμπεράσματα των σύγχρονων ερευνών, οι οποίες αποδεικνύουν την ύπαρξη ενός κοινού ελληνο-βενετικού πολιτισμού, καρπού της δυτικής και της βυζαντινής παράδοσης.
Αναλύθηκαν τα κύρια γνωρίσματα της ιστορίας μίας από τις σημαντικότερες βενετικές κτήσεις, της Κρήτης, καθώς και τα χαρακτηριστικά των τεσσάρων μεγαλύτερων πόλεων της εποχής (Χάνδακας, Χανιά, Ρέθυμνο, Σητεία). Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έγινε στη λεγόμενη «Κρητική Αναγέννηση» και σε επιτεύγματα του βενετο-κρητικού πολιτισμού της ύστερης περιόδου (με ενδεικτικά παραδείγματα από την λογοτεχνία, την ποίηση, την ζωγραφική, το θέατρο, την αρχιτεκτονική κλπ.).
Στη συνέχεια, παρουσιάστηκαν συνοπτικά τα κυριότερα χαρακτηριστικά της βενετικής κυριαρχίας στη Σητεία (πόλη και ύπαιθρος), κυρίως κατά την ύστερη περίοδο της βενετοκρατίας (16ος και 17ος αι.), οι θεσμοί που εισήγαγε η Βενετία στην πόλη, η κοινωνική διαστρωμάτωση της πόλης και της υπαίθρου, οι κοινωνικές σχέσεις, τα χαρακτηριστικά της οικονομίας, η μορφή της πόλης και ο τρόπος ζωής των κατοίκων. Ειδική μνεία έγινε σε ιστορικά στοιχεία για τον καταγόμενο από την Σητεία Βιτσέντζο Κορνάρο, τον πιθανολογούμενο ως ποιητή του Ερωτόκριτου, έργο το οποίο αποτελεί αντικείμενο σπουδών των φοιτητών του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας.
Παρουσιάστηκαν, επίσης, στους φοιτητές αντίγραφα ανέκδοτων χειρογράφων της εποχής και αναγνώστηκε τμήμα του περιεχομένου τους, ενώ ενημερώθηκαν και για την δράση του μοναδικού ερευνητικού ιδρύματος της Ελλάδας στο εξωτερικό, του Ελληνικού Ινστιτούτου Βυζαντινών και Μεταβυζαντινών Σπουδών Βενετίας, όπου η Μ. Μονδέλου υπήρξε υπότροφος-ερευνήτρια.
“European Day of Languages” (Warsaw, 24-29/9/2012) – Events promoting Greece
The Press Office of the Greek Embassy in Warsaw once again participated in“European Day of Languages 2012” events, that took place in Warsaw from 24 till 29 September and aimed to inform Poles about the cultural and linguistic heritage of European countries.
Organizers were over eighteen countries, members of EUNIC Cluster Warsaw (European Union National Institutes for Culture), among them the Press Office of the Greek Embassy, cultural institutes and embassies of European countries, as well as other institutions such as the European Commission Representation in Poland, the European Parliament Communication Office in Poland, the Polish Foundation for the Development of the Educational System, the University of Warsaw etc.
The program (www.edj.waw.pl) included a conference, demo language lessons, seminars, European film festival, theatre workshops, city game, language picnic etc.
The Greek program of the events included:
- Demo lesson of Greek language, that took place in the Institute of Polish Culture of the University of Warsaw on the 25th of September, as part of the demo-lessons of languages and cultures of the participating countries.
- Greek info stand, which was set in the University Campus of the Old Library of the University of Warsaw and provided touristic information on the 25th September from 9 am until 3 pm.
- The film “Diolkos for 1500 years” was shown at the Russian Cultural Institute on the 24th September, during the film festival organized in the Russian Cultural Institute (24-27 September).
- Game with Greek language during the city-game that took place on 29th of September.
A wide range of other events were organized during the week (24-29 September): a conference “ICT and Social Media in Language Education”, entertainment activities, theatre workshops, city games, competitions on a special website. This year`s project attracted many students and other visitors and it can be considered as a perfect opportunity to experience the Greek language and culture.
“Ευρωπαϊκή Ημέρα Γλωσσών 2012” (Βαρσοβία, 24-29/9/2012) – Εκδηλώσεις προβολής της Ελλάδας
Το Γραφείο Τύπου, για μία ακόμη χρονιά, συμμετείχε στη διοργάνωση των εκδηλώσεων προβολής των ευρωπαϊκών γλωσσών, εκδηλώσεις που στοχεύουν στην ενημέρωση του πολωνικού κοινού για τον γλωσσικό και πολιτιστικό πλούτο των χωρών της Ευρώπης και πραγματοποιήθηκαν στη Βαρσοβία από τις 24 ως τις 29 Σεπτεμβρίου.
Διοργανωτές ήταν δεκαοκτώ χώρες, μέλη του EUNIC Cluster Βαρσοβίας (European Union National Institutes for Culture), μεταξύ αυτών και το Γραφείο Τύπου της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας, καθώς και πολλοί άλλοι φορείς, όπως η Αντιπροσωπεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Πολωνία, το Γραφείο Πληροφόρησης στην Πολωνία του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, το πολωνικό Ίδρυμα για την Ανάπτυξη του Εκπαιδευτικού Συστήματος, το Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας κ.ά .
Το πλήρες πρόγραμμα (www.edj.waw.pl) περιελάμβανε ημερίδα, μαθήματα γλωσσών, σεμινάρια, φεστιβάλ ευρωπαϊκών ταινιών, θεατρικά εργαστήρια, city game, language picnic κ.ά..
Ως προς την ελληνική συμμετοχή στις εκδηλώσεις:
- Μάθημα ελληνικής γλώσσας πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Ινστιτούτο Πολωνικού Πολιτισμού του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας στις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου, στο πλαίσιο μαθημάτων εκμάθησης (demo lessons) των γλωσσών και του πολιτισμού των συμμετεχουσών ευρωπαϊκών χωρών.
- Ελληνικό info–stand, όπου διανεμήθηκε τουριστικό υλικό, λειτούργησε από τις 9.00 π.μ. έως τις 15.00 μ.μ. στις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου, στον προαύλιο χώρο της Παλαιάς Βιβλιοθήκης του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, ένα από τα κεντρικότερα σημεία της πόλης.
- Στο φεστιβάλ ταινιών που διοργανώθηκε στο Ρωσικό Πολιτιστικό Ινστιτούτο (24-27 Σεπτεμβρίου) προβλήθηκε στις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου η εικονοκινητική ταινία «Δίολκος για 1.500 χρόνια», η οποία παρουσιάζει ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα επιτεύγματα της αρχαίας ελληνικής τεχνολογίας, την κορινθιακή Δίολκο. Η προβολή πραγματοποιήθηκε κατόπιν συνεργασίας του Γραφείου Τύπου με το Τεχνικό Επιμελητήριο Ελλάδας και τον Σύλλογο Ελλήνων Επιχειρηματιών Πολωνίας «Ερμής» για την παραχώρηση της άδειας προβολής και των πολωνικών υπότιτλων της ταινίας.
- Παιχνίδι με την ελληνική γλώσσα πραγματοποιήθηκε στην διάρκεια city-game(29 Σεπτεμβρίου).
Η πραγματοποίηση πολλών παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων στη διάρκεια της εβδομάδας (24-29 Σεπτεμβρίου), όπως η ημερίδα με θέμα “ICT and Social Media in Language Education” (24 Σεπτεμβρίου), οι ψυχαγωγικές εκδηλώσεις, τα θεατρικά εργαστήρια, τα παιχνίδια δρόμου, οι διαδικτυακοί διαγωνισμοί, η προβολή των εκδηλώσεων μέσω ειδικής ιστοσελίδας και συνέντευξης τύπου, καθώς και από τους σημαντικούς φορείς που μετείχαν στη διοργάνωση, αλλά και από πολλά ΜΜΕ, είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την προσέλευση πλήθους μαθητών, φοιτητών και άλλων επισκεπτών και συνέβαλε στην επιτυχία και των φετινών εκδηλώσεων, δίνοντας στο κοινό, σε ό,τι αφορά στην Ελλάδα, αξιόλογες ευκαιρίες για επαφή με την ελληνική γλώσσα και τον πολιτισμό.
“Opera of the Summer” events – Greek film “Diolkos for 1.500 years” (Warsaw, 15/9/2012)
On September 15 2012 events dedicated to European cinema and music were organised in Warsaw by 14 embassies and cultural institutes of European countries, among them the Press Office of the Greek Embassy.
“Opera of the Summer” events took place in the imposing surroundings of the Ujazdowski Castle. Members of EUNIC Cluster Warsaw (EU National Institutes for Culture), such as the Press Office of the Greek Embassy, the embassies of Belgium, Ireland and Holland, the cultural institutes of Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland, as well as the Modern Art Center Ujazdowski, contributed to the program that included screenings of films (european films, as well as short films and cartoons) in the castle and the park, as well as concerts, performances, culinary attractions – from 15.30 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Saturday, 15th September.
Organizers estimated that the event attracted over 800 people.
The Press Office organized the screening of the film “Diolkos for 1.500 years”, a movie presenting one of the most important technological monuments of Greek civilization, the Corinthian Diolkos.
Εκδηλώσεις “Opera of the Summer” – Προβολή της ταινίας “Δίολκος – για 1.500 χρόνια” (Βαρσοβία, 15/9/2012)
Πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Βαρσοβία στις 15 Σεπτεμβρίου εκδήλωση αφιερωμένη στον ευρωπαϊκό κινηματογράφο και την μουσική, στην οποία συμμετείχαν 14 Πρεσβείες και Πολιτιστικά Ινστιτούτα ευρωπαϊκών χωρών, μεταξύ αυτών και το Γραφείο Τύπου Βαρσοβίας.
Η εκδήλωση με τίτλο «Opera of the Summer», αποτελώντας συνέχεια της περυσινής εκδήλωσης “Awakening of the Summer” (Ιούνιος 2011), πραγματοποιήθηκε στο επιβλητικό περιβάλλον του Κάστρου Ujazdowski, με διοργανωτές τα μέλη του EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture) Cluster Βαρσοβίας και το Κέντρο Μοντέρνας Τέχνης του Κάστρου Ujazdowski. Συμμετείχαν, εκτός από το Γραφείο Τύπου της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας, οι Πρεσβείες της Βελγίου, της Ιρλανδίας και της Ολλανδίας και τα Πολιτιστικά Ινστιτούτα της Δανίας, της Αυστρίας, της Πορτογαλίας, της Ιταλίας, της Γερμανίας, της Βουλγαρίας, της Ελβετίας, της Ρουμανίας, της Τσεχίας και της Ουγγαρίας.
Το πρόγραμμα της εκδήλωσης περιελάμβανε κινηματογραφικές προβολές (ευρωπαϊκές ταινίες μεγάλου και μικρού μήκους, κινούμενα σχέδια, ταινίες animation) σε διάφορους χώρους του κάστρου και του πάρκου, συναυλίες, performance, παιδικά εργαστήρια, γαστρονομία κ.ά., από τις 15.30 ως τις 1.00 του Σαββάτου, 15 Σεπτεμβρίου.
Πλήθος κόσμου, που κατά τις εκτιμήσεις των διοργανωτών ξεπέρασαν τα 800 άτομα, παρακολούθησαν τις εκδηλώσεις.
Στο πλαίσιο της ελληνικής συμμετοχής προβλήθηκε η εικονοκινητική ταινία (animation) «Δίολκος για 1.500 χρόνια», στην οποία παρουσιάζεται ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα επιτεύγματα της αρχαίας ελληνικής τεχνολογίας, η κορινθιακή Δίολκος.
Η ταινία συμμετείχε στο πρόγραμμα κατόπιν προσφοράς της άδειας προβολής από το Τεχνικό Επιμελητήριο Ελλάδας και τον διευθυντή παραγωγής της ταινίας, καθηγητή Θεοδόση Τάσιο, καθώς και προσφοράς των πολωνικών υπότιτλων της ταινίας από τον Σύλλογο Ελλήνων Επιχειρηματιών Πολωνίας «Ερμής».
Εvents during the European Football Championship
On the occasion of the European Football Championship “EURO 2012”, organized in Poland and Ukraine from 8th June until 1st July, the Press Office participated in several events.
- “Cultural Week of Greeks in Poland” (Warsaw. 2-8 June 2012)
The events, that took place at “Galleria Freta” in the historical center of Warsaw, were organized by the musician of Greek origin Milo Kurtis and under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Warsaw.
They included concerts, exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photographs, films, classes of Greek dances, a theater performance, a debate on Greece`s current affairs, gastronomy etc.
Several musicians, such as Milo Kurtis and “Naxos Quintet”, Kostas Georgiadis and the group “Edesea”, Apostolis Anthimos, Jorgos Skolias and “Sefardic Trio”, Maja Sikorowska, the group ‘Olympus’, several artists, such as the sculptor Christos Mandzios, the painter Michalis Chrisoulidis and the photographer Kostas Kawardzis, the film director Athena Savidis, the journalist Dionysios Sturis, the philosopher and musician Ilias Vrazas, the byzantine choir of the orthodox church of St. Mary Magdalene in Warsaw, were among those who have performed during the cultural week. - Greek Embassy`s event in honour of the Greek National Football Team (Warsaw, 9 June 2012)
Representatives of business, academic and artistic sectors of Greeks in Poland, Polish academics, journalists and representatives of Polish authorities, Greek journalists covering the participation of the Greek football team in “Euro 2012”, the General Secretary of Sports, Panos Bitsaxis, were among the participants. - Celebrations of Legionowo City hosting the Greek National Football Team (Legionowo, 2 June 2012)
A ceremony during which the official city-keys of Legionowo were handed over to the charge d`affaires of the Greek Embassy, Stavros Spyridakis.
- Polish Railways’ promotion of European countries during the Football Championship and for six months afterwards (May – December 2012)
For the promotion of the European Football Championship in 20 trains, Polish Railways have painted 16 of them in the colours of European countries` flags. On the 19th of May there was a parade of 5 trains painted with the colours of Greek, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech and Russian flags on a central bridge of Warsaw.
The Press Office collaborated with representatives of the Polish Railways (PKP) in order to present the Greek flag on a Polish train. - “Fan`s Dictionary” for the volunteers` communication during the European Football Championship
The dictionary includes common phrases in major European languages and was issued in cooperation with the UEFA, the EUNIC Cluster Warsaw (EU National Institutes for Culture) and the French Institute in Warsaw. The Press Office translated the leaflet into Greek language.
Εκδηλώσεις με την ευκαιρία του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ποδοσφαίρου
Με την ευκαιρία του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ποδοσφαίρου “EURO2012”, που διεξάγεται στην Πολωνία και την Ουκρανία από τις 8 Ιουνίου ως την 1 Ιουλίου, πραγματοποιήθηκαν ή συνεχίζουν να λαμβάνουν χώρα εκδηλώσεις, στις οποίες το Γραφείο Τύπου συμμετείχε στην διοργάνωση ή/ και στην προβολή τους.
- «Εβδομάδα Πολιτισμού των Ελλήνων της Πολωνίας” (Βαρσοβία, 2-8 Ιουνίου 2012)
Οι εκδηλώσεις πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην γκαλερί Freta, στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Βαρσοβίας, διοργανώθηκαν από τον ομογενή μουσικό Δημήτρη (Μίλο) Κούρτη και τελούσαν υπό την αιγίδα της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας Βαρσοβίας.
Περιελάμβαναν συναυλίες, εκθέσεις ζωγραφικής, γλυπτικής και φωτογραφίας, προβολές κινηματογραφικών ταινιών, μαθήματα ελληνικών χορών, θεατρική παράσταση, συζήτηση για την επικαιρότητα στην Ελλάδα, γαστρονομία κ.ά.. Συμμετείχαν μεταξύ άλλων ο μουσικός Μίλο Κούρτης και το συγκρότημα “Naxos Quintet”, ο μουσικός Κώστας Γεωργιάδης και το συγκρότημα “Edesea”, ο μουσικός Αποστόλης Άνθιμος και το συγκρότημα “Sefardic Trio”, η μουσικός Maja Sikorowska, το συγκρότημα «Όλυμπος», ο γλύπτης Χρήστος Μάντζιος, ο ζωγράφος Μιχάλης Χρυσουλίδης, ο φωτογράφος Κώστας Μάντζιος, η σκηνοθέτης Αθηνά Σαββίδη, ο δημοσιογράφος Διονύσης Στούρης, ο καθηγητής φιλοσοφίας και μουσικός Ηλίας Βράζας, η βυζαντινή χορωδία της ορθόδοξης εκκλησίας Αγίας Μαρίας Μαγδαληνής της Βαρσοβίας κ.ά. - Εκδήλωση Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας προς τιμήν της ελληνικής εθνικής ομάδας ποδοσφαίρου (Βαρσοβία, 9 Ιουνίου 2012)
Στην εκδήλωση παρέστησαν ο γενικός γραμματέας Αθλητισμού, Πάνος Μπιτσαξής, εκπρόσωποι του επιχειρηματικού, ακαδημαϊκού, καλλιτεχνικού χώρου των Ελλήνων της Πολωνίας, πολωνοί ακαδημαϊκοί, δημοσιογράφοι και εκπρόσωποι φορέων και οργανισμών, έλληνες δημοσιογράφοι που καλύπτουν την συμμετοχή της ελληνικής ομάδας στο πρωτάθλημα κ.ά. - Εκδηλώσεις της πόλης Legionowo εν όψει της υποδοχής της ελληνικής εθνικής ομάδας ποδοσφαίρου (Legionowo, 2 Ιουνίου 2012)
Πραγματοποιήθηκε τελετή παράδοσης των κλειδιών της πόλης στον επιτετραμμένο της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας, Σταύρο Σπυριδάκη.

Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει την προβολή του ευρωπαϊκού πρωταθλήματος ποδοσφαίρου σε 20 τραίνα, 16 από τα οποία έχουν βαφτεί στα χρώματα της σημαίας των αντίστοιχων ευρωπαϊκών χωρών. Στις 19 Μαίου πραγματοποιήθηκε παρέλαση 5 τραίνων με τα χρώματα της σημαίας της Ελλάδας, της Πολωνίας, της Ουκρανίας, της Τσεχίας και της Ρωσίας, σε κεντρική γέφυρα της Βαρσοβίας.
Το Γραφείο Τύπου συνεργάστηκε με τους εκπροσώπους του Πολωνικού Σιδηροδρόμου (PKP) για την προβολή της ελληνικής σημαίας σε πολωνικό τραίνο. - «Λεξικό φιλάθλου» για την επικοινωνία των εθελοντών του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ποδοσφαίρου
Το λεξικό περιλαμβάνει σύντομες φράσεις στις κυριότερες ευρωπαϊκές γλώσσες και εκδόθηκε σε συνεργασία με την UEFA, το EUNIC Cluster Βαρσοβίας (EU National Institutes for Culture) και το Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο Βαρσοβίας.
Το Γραφείο Τύπου μετέφρασε το περιεχόμενο του φυλλαδίου στην ελληνική γλώσσα.

Το Σάββατο, 19 Μαίου πραγματοποιήθηκε παρέλαση 5 τραίνων με τα χρώματα της σημαίας της Ελλάδας, της Πολωνίας, της Ουκρανίας, της Τσεχίας και της Ρωσίας.

Διάλεξη για την βενετοκρατούμενη Κρήτη από την προϊσταμένη του Γραφείου Τύπου, Μαρία Μονδέλου (Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας, 8/5/2012)
Διάλεξη με θέμα «Η περίοδος της βενετοκρατίας στην Κρήτη – Η βενετοκρατούμενη Σητεία» έδωσε η προϊσταμένη του Γραφείου Τύπου, Μαρία Μονδέλου, στις 8 Μαίου στο Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας.
Η διάλεξη πραγματοποιήθηκε ύστερα από πρόσκληση του Ινστιτούτου Διεπιστημονικών Σπουδών (Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies) “Artes Liberales” του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, με πρωτοβουλία της καθηγήτριας Malgorzata Borowska, διευθύντριας του Τμήματος Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας, και αποτελεί συνέχεια διαλέξεων που δίνει η Μ. Μονδέλου στην διάρκεια του εκάστοτε ακαδημαϊκού έτους, από το 2009 και εξής.
Η διάλεξη απευθυνόταν στους φοιτητές του Β΄ έτους της Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας και εντάχθηκε στο πλαίσιο της διδασκαλίας γνωστικού αντικειμένου με θέμα «Κρητικά αριστουργήματα της περιόδου της Αναγέννησης».
Ως προς το περιεχόμενο της διάλεξης, στο πρώτο μέρος παρουσιάστηκαν τα σημαντικότερα ορόσημα των μακραίωνων ελληνο-βενετικών σχέσεων, ποικίλες όψεις της ιστορίας της βενετοκρατίας στον ελληνικό χώρο, καθώς και τα χαρακτηριστικά της βενετικής κυριαρχίας, ενώ επισημάνθηκαν συμπεράσματα των σύγχρονων ερευνών, οι οποίες αποδεικνύουν την ύπαρξη ενός κοινού ελληνο-βενετικού πολιτισμού, καρπού της δυτικής και της βυζαντινής παράδοσης.
Αναλύθηκαν τα κύρια γνωρίσματα της ιστορίας μίας από τις σημαντικότερες βενετικές κτήσεις, της Κρήτης, καθώς και τα χαρακτηριστικά των τεσσάρων μεγαλύτερων πόλεων της εποχής (Χάνδακας, Χανιά, Ρέθυμνο, Σητεία). Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έγινε στη λεγόμενη «Κρητική Αναγέννηση» και σε επιτεύγματα του βενετο-κρητικού πολιτισμού της ύστερης περιόδου (με ενδεικτικά παραδείγματα από την λογοτεχνία, την ποίηση, την ζωγραφική, την αρχιτεκτονική κλπ.).
Στη συνέχεια, παρουσιάστηκαν συνοπτικά τα κυριότερα χαρακτηριστικά της βενετικής κυριαρχίας στη Σητεία (πόλη και ύπαιθρος), κυρίως κατά την ύστερη περίοδο της βενετοκρατίας (16ος και 17ος αι.), οι θεσμοί που εισήγαγε η Βενετία στην πόλη, η κοινωνική διαστρωμάτωση της πόλης και της υπαίθρου, οι κοινωνικές σχέσεις, τα χαρακτηριστικά της οικονομίας, η μορφή της πόλης και ο τρόπος ζωής των κατοίκων. Ειδική μνεία έγινε σε ιστορικά στοιχεία για τον καταγόμενο από την Σητεία Βιτσέντζο Κορνάρο, ποιητή του Ερωτόκριτου, έργο το οποίο αποτελεί αντικείμενο σπουδών των φοιτητών του Β΄ έτους.
Τέλος, παρουσιάστηκαν στους φοιτητές αντίγραφα ανέκδοτων χειρογράφων της εποχής και αναγνώστηκε τμήμα του περιεχομένου τους.
Διάλεξη καθηγητή Νίκου Μαραντζίδη για τον ελληνικό εμφύλιο πόλεμο (Βαρσοβία, 5/3/2012)
Διάλεξη του αναπληρωτή καθηγητή του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας (Θεσσαλονίκη), Νίκου Μαραντζίδη, με θέμα «Ο ελληνικός εμφύλιος πόλεμος – Εσωτερικές και διεθνείς διαστάσεις» πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 5 Μαρτίου στο Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας. Η διάλεξη διοργανώθηκε από το Γραφείο Τύπου, σε συνεργασία με το Τμήμα Ελληνικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας.
Ο καθηγητής παρουσίασε το ιστορικό πλαίσιο και τα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα του εμφυλίου, προκειμένου να αναδείξει το πολύπλοκο πλέγμα σχέσεων που συνέδεε την Ελλάδα της περιόδου του εμφυλίου με ξένες χώρες. Επικεντρώθηκε στον ρόλο χωρών της Ανατολικής Ευρώπης και την υποστήριξη των κομμουνιστών ανταρτών από το Ανατολικό μπλόκ, δίνοντας έμφαση στην βοήθεια της Πολωνίας προς τους έλληνες κομμουνιστές, η οποία περιελάμβανε την υποδοχή και περίθαλψη προσφύγων ανταρτών και παιδιών, την ίδρυση μυστικού στρατιωτικού νοσοκομείου στη Βαλτική, αποστολές τροφίμων, ιατροφαρμακευτικού υλικού κ.ά.. Αναφέρθηκε, επίσης, στις διάφορες περιόδους μνήμης του εμφυλίου στην Ελλάδα και στην θεματολογία του εμφυλίου στην ελληνική λογοτεχνία.
Την διάλεξη, στην οποία παρέστησαν ο πρέσβης Γαβριήλ Κοπτσίδης και πολλά μέλη της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας, παρακολούθησαν οι φοιτητές και οι διδάσκοντες του Τμήματος Ελληνικών Σπουδών, καθηγητές του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας, ομογενείς και άλλοι Έλληνες της Βαρσοβίας.
Ο καθ. Ν. Μαραντζίδης συνεργάζεται στενά, τα τελευταία χρόνια, με το Γραφείο Τύπου, το οποίο παρέχει διευκολύνσεις στη έρευνά του για την βοήθεια της Πολωνίας προς τους έλληνες πρόσφυγες του εμφυλίου.
Lecture by professor Nikos Marantzidis about the Greek Civil War (Warsaw, 5/3/2012)
A lecture titled “The Greek Civil War – Internal and international dimensions” was held at the University of Warsaw by the professor of theUniversity of Macedonia (Thessaloniki), Nikos Marantzidis, on the 5th of March 2012. The lecture was organized by the Greek Press and Communication Office inWarsaw, in conjunction with the Department of Greek Studies of the University of Warsaw.
The professor presented the historical context and the main events of the Civil War, aiming to demonstrate the complicate relations of Greece with foreign countries during the Civil War. He focused on the role of various Eastern European countries and their support to the Greek communist partisans, emphasizing Poland`s aid towards the Greek communists, which concentrated on the reception and care of refugees (partisans and children), the creation of a secret military hospital in the Baltic Sea, food provisions, medical equipment etc.. There were, also, references to the different periods of collective memory regarding the Civil War in Greece and to issues related to the Civil War in Greek literature.
The lecture was attended by the Greek Ambassador Gabriel Coptsidis and several members of the Greek Embassy, students and professors of the Department of Greek Studies, professors of the UniversityofWarsaw, along with members of the general public, among which were Greeks, expatriates and residents ofWarsaw.
Professor Marantzidis works closely with the Press Office during the last years, in his research about Poland`s aid towards the Greek refugees of the Civil War.
Εκδηλώσεις για τα Βαλκάνια (Βαρσοβία, 2-4 & 8/12/2011) – Προβολή της ταινίας “Reverse°
Εκδηλώσεις με τίτλο «Τα Βαλκάνια – Η Ευρώπη κινείται προς τα Νοτιο-Ανατολικά» πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην Βαρσοβία στις 2-4 και στις 8 Δεκεμβρίου 2011, με διοργανωτές πρεσβείες και πολιτιστικά ινστιτούτα βαλκανικών χωρών, μεταξύ αυτών και το Γραφείο Τύπου Βαρσοβίας. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, στη διοργάνωση των εκδηλώσεων συμμετείχαν οι πρεσβείες της Αυστρίας, της Αλβανίας, της Βοσνίας-Ερζεγοβίνης, της Κροατίας, της Σερβίας, της Σλοβενίας, της πΓΔΜ, τα πολιτιστικά ινστιτούτα της Βουλγαρίας και της Ρουμανίας, και το Γραφείο Τύπου της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας, με συντονιστή της διοργάνωσης το Αυστριακό Πολιτιστικό Φόρουμ. Οι εκδηλώσεις τελούσαν υπό την αιγίδα της Αντιπροσωπείας της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Πολωνία.
Στόχος των εκδηλώσεων, που περιελάμβαναν μουσική, κινηματογράφο, λογοτεχνία και πολιτική, ήταν η παρουσίαση της Νοτιο-Ανατολικής Ευρώπης, με την ευκαιρία της ένταξης της Κροατίας στην ΕΕ στην διάρκεια των τελευταίων ημερών της Πολωνικής Προεδρίας της ΕΕ.
Αναλυτικότερα, το πρόγραμμα των εκδηλώσεων περιελάμβανε προβολές κινηματογραφικών ταινιών (μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους) στις 3 και 4 Δεκεμβρίου, παρουσίαση του βιβλίου «Καφές» του σλοβένου ανθρωπολόγου Bozidar Jezernik στις 2 Δεκεμβρίου, συναυλία βαλκανικών συγκροτημάτων και συναυλία σύγχρονης μουσικής, εμπνευσμένης από τους ρυθμούς της Νοτιο-Ανατολικής Ευρώπης, στις 2 Δεκεμβρίου, συναυλία μουσικής δωματίου (“Music along the Danube”) στις 4 Δεκεμβρίου.
Ημερίδα με θέμα «Τα Δυτικά Βαλκάνια και η διεύρυνση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης: σε αναζήτηση ενός νέου παραδείγματος» πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 8 Δεκεμβρίου, με διοργανωτές την δεξαμενή σκέψης “DemosEuropa-Centre for European Strategy”, την Αντιπροσωπεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Πολωνία, την Αυστριακή Πρεσβεία Βαρσοβίας και το Αυστριακό Πολιτιστικό Φόρουμ.
Η ελληνική συμμετοχή, η οποία διευθετήθηκε από το Γραφείο Τύπου, περιελάμβανε την προβολή της ταινίας “Reverse” (2010) του σκηνοθέτη Γιώργου Γρηγοράκη. Η ταινία μικρού μήκους αποτελεί παραγωγή του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Σεράγεβο και έχει βραβευτεί από το Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Δράμας.

“The Balkans – Europe goes South-East” (Warsaw, 2-4 & 8/12/2011) – Film “Reverse” by George Grigorakis
The Press Office in Warsaw participated in “The Balkans – Europe goes South-East”, a week of events focusing on South-Eastern Europe, that took place in Warsaw from the 2nd to the 4th & on the 8th December 2011.
As the accession treaty with Croatia was going to be signed during the last days of the Polish EU Presidency. the events aimed to show what South Eastern Europe has to offer.
Musical performances, films, literature and a conference on politics, wereorganized by the Embassies and the Cultural Institutes of the Balkan countries and Austria (see the programme on the site of the Press Office greeceinfo.wordpress.com).
On Saturday, 3rd November,during the screening of short films from South-East Europe, the film “Reverse” of Greek director George Grigorakis (2010, 19 min., feature) wasprojected. The film, a production of the Sarajevo Film Festival, has been distinguished with two awards in the Drama Festival.
“European Day of Languages 2011″ (24-29 September 2011) – Events promoting Greece
The Press Office of the Greek Embassy in Warsaw once again participated in “European Day of Languages 2011” events, that took place in Warsaw from 24 till 29 September and aimed to inform Poles about the cultural and linguistic heritage of European countries.
Organizers were over eighteen countries, members of EUNIC Cluster Warsaw (European Union National Institutes of Culture), among them the Press Office of the Greek Embassy, cultural institutes and embassies of European countries, as well as other institutions such as the European Commission Representation in Poland, the European Parliament Communication Office in Poland, the Polish Foundation for the Development of the Educational System, the University of Warsaw etc.
The program (www.edj.waw.pl) consisted of demo language lessons, seminars, European film festival, theatre workshops, city game, language picnic etc.
The Greek program of the events included:
Demo lesson of Greek language, that took place in the Institute of Foreign Languages of the University of Warsaw on the 27th of September, as part of the demo-lessons of languages and cultures of the participating countries.
Greek info stand, which was set in the University Campus of the Old Library of the University of Warsaw and provided touristic information on the 27th September from 9 am until 3 pm.
The film “The Trojan Women” directed by Michael Cacoyannis (1971) was shown at the Russian Cultural Institute on the 29th September, during the film festival organized in the Russian Cultural Institute (26-29 September) and the cinema Alchemia (25th September):
A wide range of other events were organized during the week (24-29 September): a two-day conference “Language Competences for Professional and Personal Success inEurope”, entertainment activities, theatre workshops, city games, competitions on a special website. This year`s project attracted many students and other visitors and it can be considered as a perfect opportunity to experience the Greek language and culture.
Greek film “Harisma” in “The Awakening of the Summer” events in Warsaw (17-18 June 2011)
Some 2000 people gathered in the park surrounding the Center of Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw on the night of 17 to 18 of June, .
The Press Office of the Greek Embassy participated in the event, screening the film “Harisma”, a comedy directed by Christina Ioakeimidi in 2010.
The first nights of summer are strongly connected with the atmosphere of an ancient midsummer St. John’s Night. These nights are filled with growing craziness, pleasure, ecstasy, romance, desire, love, energy and allure.
Ujazdowski Castle hosted such a special night organized in close cooperation with EUNIC in Poland Warsaw. On one indoor and three outdoor screens a rich choice of European films were offered ranging from crazy colorful Austrian Pepperminta, hot romance animation from Great Britain to scary Nosferatu from Germany. The night was heathen up with performances of the Estonian band OPIUM Flirt, the Dutch/Danish/Polish band Très.B and a Romanian DJ. In addition there were dance performances and food and drinks served from various European countries.
17 members of EUNIC in Poland Warsaw contributed to the event.
At 10.00 p.m. the vice-president of the cluster opened the program underlying that “The Awakening of the Summer” is a symbolic present to Poland that for the first time in history is taking over the EU presidency on the 1st of July. EUNIC members wanted to express their support and gratitude for the hospitality they have been experiencing in Poland.
The program ended at 4.00 a.m. with breakfast at sunrise.
Lecture “Venice and Crete – The town of Sitia under Venetian Dominion” by the director of the Press Office Maria Mondelou at the University of Warsaw and the Polish “Association of Friends of Greece” (28 May 2011)
A lecture entitled “Venice and Crete – The town of Sitia under Venetian Dominion” was held by the director of the Press and Communication Office in Warsaw, Maria Mondelou, on the 28th of May at the University of Warsaw.
The lecture was organized by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies“Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw (Department of Modern Greek Philology) and the Polish “Association of Friends of Greece”.
It was attended by students of Modern Greek Philology of the University of Warsaw and members of the above mentioned Association, as well as academics of other Departments of Greek Studies of the Universities of Warsaw and Poznan and other Faculties of the University of Warsaw.
The characteristics of the Venetian dominion and the results of contemporary studies that prove the existence of a common culture, fruit of the Latin and the Byzantine tradition, were highlighted. The history of Crete, one of the most important Venetian colonies, and the characteristics of the four greater towns (Candia, Canea, Rettimo, Sitia) were briefly presented, with emphasis to the famous “Cretan Rennaissance” and the achievements of the Venetian –Cretan culture of the later period.
Main aspects of the Venetian dominion in the region of Sitia (town and villages), particularly during the later period (16th and 17th centuries), as well as some of the institutions thatVenice introduced in Sitia (administration, religious institutions, justice etc.) were analysed. The social stratification in the town and the villages, the social relations, the characteristics of the economy, the form of the town and the way of life of the inhabitants were, also, described.

A lecture about “The Venetian Dominion in Crete” was hold by the director of the Press and Communication Office inWarsaw, Maria Mondelou, on the 29th March at theUniversityof Warsaw.
Following an invitation by the Instituteof Interdisciplinary Studies“Artes Liberales” of the Universityof Warsawand the director at the Department of Modern Greek Philology, Malgorzata Borowska, the lecture was attended by the students of the 4th semester in Modern Greek Philology, that includes lessons on the subject “Cretan masterpieces of Renaissance”.
The relations betweenVeniceandByzantium, as well as the characteristics of the Venetian dominion and the results of contemporary studies that prove the existence of a common culture, fruit of the Latin and the Byzantine tradition, were highlighted.

8o Συνέδριο Ιταλικής Εταιρείας Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών – Παλέρμο, 23-26/11/2010
Ανακοίνωση της προϊσταμένης του Γραφείου Τύπου Μ. Μονδέλου για την ελληνική πολιτιστική διπλωματία
Το 8ο Συνέδριο της Ιταλικής Εταιρείας Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Παλέρμο της Ιταλίας από τις 24 έως τις 26 Νοεμβρίου. Θέμα του συνεδρίου «Η Ελλάδα στον καθρέφτη – Πολυπλοκότητα και επικαιρότητα του νεοελληνικού πολιτισμού».
Συμμετείχαν οι σημαντικότεροι ιταλοί νεοελληνιστές, όπως οι Mario Vitti και Vincenzo Rotolo, ο ποιητής Τίτος Πατρίκιος, καθηγητές των Εδρών Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών των ιταλικών πανεπιστημίων, όπως οι Paola Maria Minucci, Caterina Carpinato, Renata Lavagnini, Massimo Peri, Αντωνία Σοφικίτου, Salvatore Nicosia, καθηγητές πανεπιστημίων της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου, όπως οι Ερατοσθένης Καψωμένος, Παναγιώτης Μαστροδημήτρης, Μιχάλης Πιερής, ο δημοσιογράφος Θόδωρος Ανδρεάδης-Συγκελλάκης, ερευνητές ελληνικών και ιταλικών πανεπιστημίων.
Στο συνέδριο συμμετείχε η Γραμματέας Επικοινωνίας Μαρία Μονδέλου, η οποία παρουσίασε ανακοίνωση με τίτλο «Πολιτιστική διπλωματία: o ρόλος του ακολούθου τύπου στην πολιτιστική προσέγγιση Ελλάδας – Ιταλίας».
Στόχος της ομιλίας ήταν να εξεταστεί η πρακτική εφαρμογή της ελληνικής πολιτιστικής πολιτικής στο εξωτερικό, μέσα από το παράδειγμα των πολιτιστικών δραστηριοτήτων του Γραφείου Τύπου της Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας Ρώμης τα τελευταία χρόνια (2003-2009). Η παρουσίαση των σημαντικότερων δράσεων, σε συνδυασμό με μια πρώτη αποτίμησή τους, στόχευε να θίξει θέματα που σχετίζονται με τον σχεδιασμό, τη διοργάνωση και την απήχηση των εκδηλώσεων, τη συνεργασία με ελληνικούς και ιταλικούς φορείς, καθώς και με το προφίλ των ασκούντων πολιτιστική διπλωματία.
Έγινε, τέλος, μία σύντομη αναφορά στις πολιτιστικές δράσεις που προωθούνται από το Γραφείο Τύπου Βαρσοβίας, στη συνεργασία με το Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας και άλλες Έδρες Ελληνικών Σπουδών πολωνικών πανεπιστημίων, καθώς και με το EUNIC Cluster Βαρσοβίας (European Union National Institutes for Culture).
Εκδηλώσεις “Ποίηση στο Μετρό” (Βαρσοβία, Σεπτέμβριος-Οκτώβριος 2010) –
Προβολή ποιημάτων της Κικής Δημουλά και του Νάσου Βαγενά
Οι εκδηλώσεις «Ποίηση στο Μετρό 2010» πραγματοποιήθηκαν στη Βαρσοβία το φθινόπωρο του 2010 και το Γραφείο Τύπου, για μία ακόμη χρονιά, συμμετείχε στη διοργάνωση των εκδηλώσεων προβολής της σύγχρονης ευρωπαϊκής ποίησης.
Οι εκδηλώσεις «Ποίηση στο Μετρό» αποτελούν θεσμό σε πολλές πόλεις σε όλον τον κόσμο, από το 1986 που πραγματοποιήθηκαν για πρώτη φορά στο Λονδίνο. Σκοπός τους είναι η προβολή της σύγχρονης ποίησης σε δημόσιους χώρους των πόλεων, μέσω διαγωνισμών, φεστιβάλ ποίησης, city games.
Οι εκδηλώσεις στη Βαρσοβία περιλάμβαναν, μεταξύ άλλων, ανάρτηση ποιημάτων (στο πρωτότυπο και σε πολωνική μετάφραση) σε σταθμούς του μετρό και λογοτεχνικές συναντήσεις για την παρουσίαση του έργου ευρωπαίων ποιητών. Τελούσαν υπό την αιγίδα του EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) Cluster Βαρσοβίας και του Δήμου Βαρσοβίας και στη διοργάνωση συμμετείχαν πρεσβείες και μορφωτικά ινστιτούτα ευρωπαϊκών χωρών.
Για την ελληνική εκπροσώπηση στις φετινές εκδηλώσεις, επελέγησαν ποιήματα της Κικής Δημουλά και του Νάσου Βαγενά, τα οποία μεταφράστηκαν στην πολωνική γλώσσα με επιμέλεια της καθηγήτριας του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας, Malgorzata Borowska.
Η Γραμματέας Επικοινωνίας Μαρία Μονδέλου επικοινώνησε με την ποιήτρια και ακαδημαϊκό Κική Δημουλά και τον ποιητή και πανεπιστημιακό καθηγητή Νάσο Βαγενά για την παραχώρηση άδειας προβολής των ποιημάτων τους στην Πολωνία.
“Poems on the Underground 2010” – Greek contemporary poetry
The Press Office of the Greek Embassy in Warsaw promotes the contemporary poetry of Greece and participates to “Poems on the Underground” events (6-30 September 2010).
“Poems on the Underground” (Wiersze w Metrze) has been inspired by other similar projects in many cities: Dublin, Paris, New York, Barcelona, Stockholm, Stuttgard and Moscow, organised for the first time in London in 1986.
Wiersze w Metrze promotes contemporary European poetry in public city spaces, through happenings, haiku competition, poetry city game and a performing poetry festival.
Many cultural institutes and embassies participate to the project, which takes place under the auspices of the the mayor of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz.
Kiki Dimoula has recently been awarded the European Literature Prize for 2010. Her poetry has been translated into English, French, German, Swedish, Danish, Spanish and many other languages.
Dimoula’s poetry is haunted by the existential dissolution of the post-world era. Her central themes are hopelessness, insecurity, absence and oblivion. Using diverse subjects and twisting grammar in unconventional ways, she accentuates the power of the words through astonishment and surprise, but always manages to retain a sense of hope.
Vagenas, professor of Theory and Critique of Literature in the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens, in 2005 was awarded with the State Poetry Prize for his poetic collection ‘Stefanos’.
His poetic work includes the books: ‘Field of Mars’, ‘Biography’, ‘Roxani’s Knees’, ‘Wandering of a non-traveller’, ‘The Fall of the Flying’, ‘Barbarous Odes’ , ‘The Fall of the Flying B’, ‘Dark Ballads and Other Poems’, ‘Stefanos’.
His poetry has been translated into English, German, Italian, Dutch, Romanian, Serbian.
Two poems of Kiki Dimoula and Nasos Vagenas have been translated in polish language for “Wiersze w Metrze” by the professors and students of the Department of Greek Studies of the University of Warsaw (Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies “Artes Liberales”).

Εκδηλώσεις “Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Γλωσσών” (Βαρσοβία, 20-27 Σεπτεμβρίου 2010)
Οι φετινές εκδηλώσεις της «Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Γλωσσών 2010» πραγματοποιήθηκαν στη Βαρσοβία από τις 20 έως τις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου.
Το Γραφείο Τύπου, για μία ακόμη χρονιά, συμμετείχε στη διοργάνωση των εκδηλώσεων προβολής των ευρωπαϊκών γλωσσών, εκδηλώσεις που στοχεύουν στην ενημέρωση του πολωνικού κοινού για τον γλωσσικό και πολιτιστικό πλούτο των χωρών της Ευρώπης. Η Ευρωπαϊκή Ημέρα Γλωσσών θεσπίστηκε από το Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης το 2001.
Διοργανωτές των εκδηλώσεων ήταν δεκατρείς χώρες, μέλη του EUNICCluster Βαρσοβίας (European Union National Institutes for Culture): Ελλάδα (Γραφείο Τύπου Ελληνικής Πρεσβείας), Εσθονία (Πρεσβεία Εσθονίας), Ιρλανδία (Πρεσβεία Ιρλανδίας), Μεγ. Βρετανία (British Council), Βέλγιο (Πρεσβεία Βελγίου), Δανία (Πολιτιστικό Ινστιτούτο Δανίας), Γερμανία (Goethe-Institut), Πορτογαλία (Ινστιτούτο Camoes), Γαλλία (Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο), Ιταλία (Ιταλικό Ινστιτούτο), Αυστρία (Αυστριακό Ινστιτούτο), Ρουμανία (Ρουμανικό Ινστιτούτο), Ρωσία (Ρωσικό Κέντρο Επιστήμης και Πολιτισμού).
Στη διοργάνωση συμμετείχαν, επίσης, το EUNIC Cluster Βαρσοβίας, η Αντιπροσωπεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Πολωνία, το πολωνικό Ίδρυμα για την Ανάπτυξη του Εκπαιδευτικού Συστήματος, το Πανεπιστήμιο Βαρσοβίας, το Εκπαιδευτικό Τμήμα του Δήμου Βαρσοβίας, το Κρατικό Εθνογραφικό Μουσείο στη Βαρσοβία, η Δημόσια Βιβλιοθήκη της συνοικίας Praga (Δήμος Βαρσοβίας), το πολωνικό Κέντρο για την Ανάπτυξη της Εκπαίδευσης, η πολωνική Κρατική Επιτροπή για την Πιστοποίηση της Επάρκειας της Πολωνικής ως Ξένης Γλώσσας. Οι εκδηλώσεις τελούσαν υπό την αιγίδα του πολωνικού Υπουργείου Εθνικής Παιδείας, του πολωνικού Υπουργείου Επιστήμης και Ανώτερης Εκπαίδευσης, της Δημάρχου Βαρσοβίας και της Πρυτάνεως του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας.
Η απήχηση των εκδηλώσεων τις προηγούμενες χρονιές οδήγησε τους διοργανωτές στην απόφαση για την φετινή διοργάνωση πολυήμερων εκδηλώσεων, με ποικίλο περιεχόμενο.

Η ελληνική συμμετοχή στις εκδηλώσεις, η οποία περιελάμβανε μεταξύ άλλων φεστιβάλ ταινιών, μάθημα ελληνικής γλώσσας, σεμινάριο για το ζεϊμπέκικο, ελληνικό περίπτερο κ.ά., διοργανώθηκε από τη Γραμματέα Επικοινωνίας, Μαρία Μονδέλου.
Αναλυτικότερα, η ελληνική συμμετοχή είχε ως εξής:
Στην επίσημη τελετή της «Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Γλωσσών» στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου, στην οποία συμμετείχαν πρέσβεις, διευθυντές μορφωτικών ινστιτούτων, ο διευθυντής της Αντιπροσωπείας της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Πολωνία, Rafal Rudnicki, εκπρόσωποι των πολωνικών Αρχών και Ιδρυμάτων, η Γραμματέας Επικοινωνίας Μαρία Μονδέλου απηύθυνε έναν σύντομο χαιρετισμό – καλωσόρισμα στην ελληνική γλώσσα των μαθητών που παρευρίσκονταν στην εκδήλωση.
Στη δεξίωση που παρέθεσε η πρύτανης του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας Katarzyna Chalasinska-Macukow, προς τιμήν των διοργανωτών, και έλαβε χώρα στο πανεπιστημιακό μέγαρο Kazimierzowski μετά την έναρξη των εκδηλώσεων, παρευρέθησαν η Μ. Μονδέλου και ο Γραμματέας Οικονομικών και Εμπορικών Υποθέσεων, Παντελής Γιαννούλης, ο οποίος παρέστη και στην τελετή εγκαινίων και επισκέφτηκε το ελληνικό περίπτερο.
Ελληνικό περίπτερο, όπου διανεμήθηκε τουριστικό υλικό (χάρτες, φυλλάδια, λευκώματα, DVD, που έχουν χορηγηθεί στο Γραφείο Τύπου από τον ΕΟΤ και την Νομαρχιακή Επιτροπή Τουριστικής Προβολής Ρεθύμνης) και δόθηκαν πληροφορίες για τις δυνατότητες εκμάθησης της ελληνικής γλώσσας στην Πολωνία, λειτούργησε από τις 9.00 π.μ. έως τις 15.00 μ.μ. στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου, στον προαύλιο χώρο της Παλαιάς Βιβλιοθήκης του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, ένα από τα κεντρικότερα σημεία της πόλης. Την ευθύνη της διοργάνωσης και της λειτουργίας του περιπτέρου, το οποίο επισκέφτηκε πλήθος φοιτητών, μαθητών και άλλων Πολωνών, είχε η Μαρία Μονδέλου με τη συνδρομή δύο φοιτητριών του Ινστιτούτου Διεπιστημονικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας (Έδρα Ελληνικών Σπουδών).
Μάθημα ελληνικής γλώσσας πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Σχολή Ξένων Γλωσσών στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου, στο πλαίσιο μαθημάτων εκμάθησης (demo lessons) των γλωσσών και του πολιτισμού των συμμετεχόντων ευρωπαϊκών χωρών. Η διοργάνωση του μαθήματος έγινε σε συνεργασία με τους καθηγητές του Ινστιτούτου Διεπιστημονικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας (Έδρα Ελληνικών Σπουδών), Malgorzata Borowska και Przemek Kordos. Η παράδοση του μαθήματος έγινε από τον διδάσκοντα ελληνική γλώσσα στο Ινστιτούτο Διεπιστημονικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, Βλάση Μοντεμάρκο, και δύο φοιτήτριες και το παρακολούθησαν μαθητές πολωνικών σχολείων μέσης εκπαίδευσης, οι οποίοι επέλεξαν την ελληνική γλώσσα από το σύνολο των ανωτέρω σεμιναρίων.
Σεμινάριο (workshop) για το ζεϊμπέκικο πραγματοποιήθηκε στην προαναφερθείσα Σχολή Ξένων Γλωσσών στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου, από την διδάσκουσα ελληνική γλώσσα στην Σχολή Ανατολικών Γλωσσών (Κέντρο Ανατολικών Σπουδών) του Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρσοβίας, Elzbieta Sroka-Swirska. Το σεμινάριο, που περιελάμβανε και οπτικοακουστικό υλικό, παρακολούθησαν μαθητές μέσης εκπαίδευσης πολωνικών σχολείων, φοιτητές και άλλοι ενδιαφερόμενοι.
Στο φεστιβάλ ταινιών που διοργανώθηκε στο πλαίσιο των εκδηλώσεων στο Ρωσικό Πολιτιστικό Ινστιτούτο (20-23 Σεπτεμβρίου) και στον κινηματογράφο (Etnokino) του Εθνογραφικού Μουσείου Βαρσοβίας (24 και 26 Σεπτεμβρίου), έγιναν προβολές ελληνικών ταινιών (με αγγλικούς υπότιτλους):

Η Ελλάδα ήταν η μόνη χώρα που πραγματοποίησε ειδικό κινηματογραφικό αφιέρωμα, με περισσότερες από μία ταινίες. Για τη διοργάνωση των παραπάνω προβολών η Μαρία Μονδέλου συνεργάστηκε με το Ίδρυμα «Μιχάλης Κακογιάννης», τους παραγωγούς και τους σκηνοθέτες των ταινιών, και παρέστη στις προβολές.
Προβολή ταινιών για τον ελληνικό πολιτισμό και τουρισμό (π.χ. DVD για το νέο Μουσείο της Ακρόπολης, για το Ρέθυμνο, για τα νησιά του Ιονίου, για την Ελλάδα συνολικά (DVD του ΕΟΤ)) στο εντευκτήριο του Εθνογραφικού Μουσείου κατά τη διάρκεια του φεστιβάλ ταινιών (24 και 26 Σεπτεμβρίου)
Υλικό του Γραφείου Τύπου (βιβλία, λευκώματα, DVD και τουριστικό υλικό που έχει παραχωρήσει στο Γραφείο η Νομαρχιακή Επιτροπή Τουριστικής Προβολής Ρεθύμνης) δωρήθηκε σε μαθητές και φοιτητές που παρακολούθησαν το μάθημα ελληνικής γλώσσας και το σεμινάριο για το ζεϊμπέκικο.
Χορηγός των εκδηλώσεων ήταν η αντιπροσωπεία στην Πολωνία της ελληνικής εταιρείας “Chipita”, ύστερα από συνεργασία με τον ελληνικής καταγωγής εκπρόσωπο της εταιρείας, Νικόλαο Smirnoff.
Η πραγματοποίηση πολλών παράλληλων εκδηλώσεων, τόσο στη διάρκεια της εβδομάδας (20-27 Σεπτεμβρίου), όσο και κατά την ημέρα εορτασμού της Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Γλωσσών στη Βαρσοβία (27 Σεπτεμβρίου), όπως η ημερίδα με θέμα «Οι Γλώσσες μάς ενώνουν», οι ψυχαγωγικές εκδηλώσεις, οι παραστάσεις επί σκηνής μουσικών και χορευτικών συγκροτημάτων, τα παιχνίδια δρόμου, οι on-line διαγωνισμοί, η προβολή των εκδηλώσεων μέσω ειδικής ιστοσελίδας, καθώς και από τους σημαντικούς φορείς που μετείχαν στη διοργάνωση, είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την προσέλευση πλήθους μαθητών, φοιτητών και άλλων επισκεπτών και συνέβαλε στην επιτυχία των φετινών εκδηλώσεων, δίνοντας στο κοινό, σε ό,τι αφορά στην Ελλάδα, την ευκαιρία για επαφή με την ελληνική γλώσσα και τον πολιτισμό.
“European Days of Languages 2010” – Greek events
The Press Office of the Greek Embassy in Warsaw participated in “European Days of Languages” events, that will take place in Warsaw (21- 27 September 2010).
Various events will be open to the public, including screenings of films, such as “Ifigenia” directed by Michael Cacoyannis (21 September, Russian Cultural Institute, RONIK), “A Touch of Spice” directed by Tasos Boulmetis, as well as awarded short films (24 September,Ethographical Museum, ETNOKINO).
A special stand promoting Greek tourism will provide information and material at the University campus of the Old Library on the 27th of September, official opening of “European Days of Languages” events, such as international conference ”Languages Integrate”, performances, concerts etc..
A demo-lesson of Greek language and a workshop of the Greek dance “Zeimbekiko“, in collaboration with the University of Warsaw (Departments of Greek Studies), are, also, included in the programme.
26 Cultural Institutes and Embassies of European countries, the European Commission (Representation in Poland), FRSE, the University of Warsaw, the Municipality of Warsaw, the Polish Ministries of Culture and Education take part in this year`s project.

International Conference “Literature and Immigration” (Warsaw, 25/3/2010)
An international conference “Literature and Immigration” took place in Warsaw on the 25th March, under the auspices of the European Commission and EUNIC (EU National Institutes of Culture).
The conference was organized by Goethe Institut, Austrian Cultural Forum, Danish Institute, Romanian Cultural Institute, the Swedish Embassy and the Press Office of the Greek Embassy, all of them members of EUNIC, as well as by the Representation in Poland of the European Commission and the Centre of Modern Art Zamek Ujazdowski, where the conference took place.
Scholars involved in academic research related with the topics of literature and immigration were invited to share their views with writers that have chosen to write in a foreign language.
Greece was represented by the Albanian writer and journalist, Gazmend Kapllani, who lives and works in Greece and the writer Theodor Kallifatides, who has lived the last 45 years in Sweden, publishing more than 40 books.
Both writers were invited by the Press Office, with the support of the Greek Book Centre.
Kapllani spoke about “The strange language of dreams”: ”I think that writing in a language that is not your mother tongue is a privilege and a trap at the same time. It’s a trap because every time that you are not satisfied with what you are writing, you’re tempted to blame your failure on the “foreign” language. In a way, it becomes your scapegoat.
On the other hand, it’s a privilege, because the relationship between yourself and that language is a relationship of a never ending curiosity. You never take it for granted. This happens for the sole reason that it was never given to you, you had to “conquer” it. You are in a constant search for yourself and this language. The foreign language will never fully be yours in the same way your mother tongue is. I believe that the relationship one has with one’s mother tongue always contains an element of routine and heaviness. The relationship with the “foreign” language never becomes routine. It gives you a sense of lightness and freedom, a desire to play and conquer. The relationship with your mother tongue seems similar to the maternal affection. The relationship with a foreign language that you acquired resembles a love affair. At least, this is what I can say about my relationship with the Greek language. I feel that I am no longer a stranger to the Greek language. But I am not a native either. Therefore, I do not live inside the Greek language either as a stranger, or as a native. Maybe I live within it as a strange one”.
Kallifatides, who has published novels, poetry collections, travel essays and plays, has received numerous awards for his works which usually revolve around his experience of Greece and of being Greek in foreign domains and almost all his works have been translated and published in more than twenty languages.
During the conference, he stressed that for him the Greek language is the language of connotations and feelings, and the Swedish language is an intellectual language. He mentioned the problems of writing in your own language and the privileges of writing in a foreign language. He considers himself an immigrant and a writer and not an immigrant writer.
Greece`s presentation by the Greek Embassy and the Press Office at the European Information Centre in Warsaw (19 March 2010)
A presentation of Greece by the Greek Embassy and the Press Office in Warsaw took place at the European Information Centre of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 19th March 2010 (www.cie.gov.pl).
Various aspects of Greece were presented by the Deputy Head of Mission, Paraskevi Charitidou, and the Press Attache, Maria Mondelou.
The audience, 70 students of higher secondary schools of Warsaw, was informed about Greece`s geostrategic position, its political system, the participation in international organizations, such as the EU and the NATO, the Greek Presidencies in the EU.
A brief presentation of the Greek history, mainly during the modern and contemporary period, was followed by characteristic examples of Greek culture, in the fields of literature, poetry, music, theatre and cinema.
Views of the New Acropolis Museum were presented, as well as Greece`s request for the restitution of the Parthenon Marbles.
During the discussion, the students were informed about Greece`s foreign policy, the situation of the Greek economy, tourism, the educational system and the scholarships offered for foreign students. They were, also, particularly interested about the image of Poles in Greece and their life.
The European Information Centre, that invited the Greek Embassy to make the presentation of Greece, organizes annually discussions with representatives of the EU member states.
Lecture “The Venetian Dominion in Sitia (Crete) – Research on the history of the town” of the Press Attache Maria Mondelou (University of Warsaw, 23 February 2010)
A lecture about “The Venetian Dominion in Sitia (Crete) – Research on the history of thetown” was hold by the Press Attache of the Press and Communication Office in Warsaw, Maria Mondelou, on the 23rd February at the University of Warsaw.
It was the second lecture that took place, after the one on the 8th of December 2009, following an invitation by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies “Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw and the director at the Department of Modern Greek Philology, Malgorzata Borowska.
The lecture was attended by the students of the 4th semester in Modern Greek Philology, that includes lessons on the subject “Cretan masterpieces of the Renaissance”.
Lecture “The Venetian Dominion in Greece – Venetian Crete” by the Press Attache Maria Mondelou at the University of Warsaw (8 December 2009)
A lecture about “The Venetian period of Greek history – Crete under venetian rule” was hold by the Press Attache of the Press and Communication Office in Warsaw, Maria Mondelou, on the 8th December at the University of Warsaw.
The lecturer was invited by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies “Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw.
The main aspects of Venetian history and the Venetian dominion in Greece were described and the results of contemporary researches, that verify the existence of a common Greek-Venetian culture, product of the Latin and the Byzantine traditions, were highlighted.
The second part of the lecture was dedicated to Crete, a most important Venetian territory. The institutions that Venice introduced in the island and the characteristics of the greater towns (Candia, Canea, Rethymnon, Sitia) were, also, analysed, as well as the so-called “Cretan Rennaissance”.
Finally, the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies of Venice, the unique scientific institution of Greece abroad, and its activities (scientific research, editions, conferences, library, archive of manuscripts and old documents, museum of post-byzantine icons etc.) were described by the lecturer, researcher of the Institute.

KONCERT MUZYKI GRECKIEJ 26 WRZEŚNIA 2008 ROKU / 13:00
Katarzyna Gojny – sopran, śpiewać będzie pieśni greckich kompozytorów: Mikis’a Theodorakis’a, Manos’a Loizos’a, Stavros’a Kougioumtzis’a, w aranżacji Odysseas’a Konstantinopoulos’a.
GREEK CONCERT at 26 SEPTEMBER 2008 / 13:00
Katarzyna Gojny, soprano, will sing Greek songs of Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Loizos, Stavros Kougioumtzis, etc rearranged by Odysseas Konstantinopoulos.
In 1998 she was honored in the Ludomir Rózycki vocal competition in Gliwice. She imrpoved her vocal skills under the direction of phd. Ewa Mentel.
In 2008 she started the cooperation with the Greek composer and arranger Odysseas Konstantinopulos who made the arrangements of the classical Greek pieces. The aim of the project is recording the album including the music of the Greek composers e.g. M. Theodorakis, S. Kougioumtzis, M. Loizos. All the pieces will be sung in the classical Greek language.
Mikis Theodorakis after listening to the recordings has already agreed for using his compositions on the album. The composition to pilot the project will be broadcasted by the greek radio on 22nd of September at 6pm (of a Polish time) [http://tvradio.ert.gr/radio/liveradio/trito.asp] in the program announcing the first live performance of the Greek composers which will be held on 26th of September in Warsaw.
Odysseus Konstantinopoulos: urodził się w Siemianowicach Śl. Jest absolwentem Wydziału Pedagogiczno-Artystycznego Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach [Filia w Cieszynie]. Od 1982 roku mieszka w Grecji [obecnie w Atenach], gdzie nieprzerwanie prowadzi szeroko rozwiniętą działalność pedagogiczną, artystyczną i kompozytorską.
Jako instrumentalista współpracował m. in. z: S. Kassarasem, D. Lynch’em, Y. Kiourtsoglou ,O. Temiz’em, D. Garibaldim, W. Reyes’em, W. Rakopoulos’em, jak również z czołowymi greckimi wokalistami, m. in. z: H. Alexiou, J. Dalaras’em, E. Paspala, D. Mitropanos’em. Od roku 2007 współpracuje z zespołem AnimaCorda – aranżując ich kompozycje [m. in. płyta „lost & fund”] oraz koncertując z nimi.
W roku 2007 wydał płytę ” The 7 faces of odysseus”, kończąc w tym samym czasie prace nad cyklem “Sny małego Se” – będącym jego muzyczną autobiografią. W swoim dorobku kompozytorskim posiada również: koncert na gitarę klasyczną – „Epistrofi” [„Powrót”] oraz koncert na gitarę basową – „Mesoghios” [„Śródziemnomorski”]. Obecnie zajmuje się transkrypcjami pieśni greckich kompozytorów, stanowiących materiał na kolejną płytę.
Katarzyna Gojny – sopran: Absolwentka Wydziału Wokalno-Aktorskiego Akademii Muzycznej w Katowicach w klasie śpiewu solowego mgr Haliny Skubis. Stypendystka fundacji „Sobieski” w Warszawie. Wyróżniona w 1998 roku w konkursie wokalnym im. Ludomira Różyckiego w Gliwicach. Umiejętności wokalne doskonaliła u dr Ewy Mentel.
W roku 2008 rozpoczęła współpracę z greckim kompozytorem i aranżerem Odysseasem Konstantinopoulosem, który dokonał klasycznego opracowania greckich utworów. Realizowany wspólny projekt będzie polegał na nagraniu płyty – autorami muzyki są greccy kompozytorzy m. in. M. Theodorakis, S. Kougioumtzis, M. Loizos. Wszystkie utwory będą śpiewane klasycznie w języku greckim.
Mikis Theodorakis po wysłuchaniu zrealizowanych nagrań wyraził swoją aprobatę i zgodę na wykorzystanie kompozycji na powstającej płycie. Utwór pilotażowy będzie miał premierę na antenie greckiego radia [pr. III] 22 września o godz.18.00 [polskiego czasu] w audycji zapowiadającej pierwsze koncertowe wykonanie utworów greckich kompozytorów w dniu 26 września w Warszawie.

“ΕΝΑ ΚΛΕΙΔΙ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΚΑΡΔΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΛΕΝΙΩΣ”
Άβγαλτη χωριατοπούλα η Λενιώ ήρθε στο σπιτικό μας από τα δεκάξι της. Οι γονείς της την έστειλαν να δουλέψει, αλλά και να βρει το «τυχερό» της. Λίγα χρόνια μετά άρχισαν τα πρώτα προξενέματα. Καλοί και νοικοκυρεμένοι οι γαμπροί μα η Λενιώ ήταν απορριπτική σε κάθε «τυχερό». Μια μέρα που κεντούσε σιωπηλή ένα καρέ, με την αφέλεια ενός δεκάχρονου κοριτσιού της εποχής εκείνης, της πέταξα μια αδέξια ατάκα.
-Γιατί δε θέλεις να παντρευτείς;
Αναστέναξε και σάλιωσε λιγωμένα την κλωστή πριν την περάσει από το μάτι της βελόνας.
-Εγώ θα πάρω μονάχα όποιον καταφέρει να ξεκλειδώσει την καρδιά μου, είπε αινιγματικά κι έσκυψε πάλι στο μετρητό της.
Μπερδεύτηκα με κείνη την κουβέντα. Με τι κλειδί άραγε να ξεκλειδώνει μια καρδιά; σκεφτόμουνα κι απάντηση δεν έβρισκα.
Αφού όλες οι προξενιές παρέμεναν άκαρπες οι γονείς της αποφάσισαν να έρθουν να την πάρουν πάλι στο χωριό. Μια εβδομάδα πριν έρθουν η γούρνα του νεροχύτη μας πλημμύρισε. Άντε τώρα να βρεις υδραυλικό την ώρα που πνίγεσαι. Άμα όμως το θέλει η τύχη, όλα γίνονται. Κι η τύχη της Λενιώς ήθελε να έρθει ο υδραυλικός πάνω στην ώρα. Και να ‘ναι και λεβέντης με βλέμμα ασίκικο που σήκωνε τρικυμίες.
Όταν έφυγε άφησε πίσω του την καρδιά της ξεκλείδωτη με τα πορτόφυλλα διάπλατα ανοιχτά για κείνον κι ας μην ήξερε ούτε το όνομά του. Τάχα θα τον ξανάβλεπε ποτέ;
Σαν άνοιξε η μάνα το ντουλάπι κάτω από το νεροχύτη βρήκε ένα του εργαλείο ξεχασμένο.
-Ο ευλογημένος ξέχασε εδώ το γερμανικό κλειδί του. Σύρε Λενιώ μου στο μαγαζί του, στην πλατεία, να του το δώσεις. Έφυγε πετώντας η Λενιώ μα καθυστέρησε κομματάκι να γυρίσει.
Οι γονείς της αναβάλλανε το ταξίδι τους, καθώς τους το ζήτησε εκείνη. Ήρθαν μετά από τρεις μήνες φέρνοντας αμανάτι στο γαμπρό.
Όσο για μένα ήμουν πια σίγουρη ότι οι καρδιές ξεκλειδώνουν με γερμανικό κλειδί.

“Bajka o kluczu do serca małej Helenki“
Helenka, stroniąca od młodzieńców dziewczyna z małej wioski, przybyła do naszego domu gdy miała szesnaście lat. Rodzice wysłali ją do pracy, mając też jednak nadzieję, że Helenka odnajdzie swą drugą połowę. Parę lat później rozpoczęły się pierwsze swaty. Młodzieńcy dobrzy, piękni, gospodarni…Helenka odrzucała jednak każdego z nich. Pewnego dnia, gdy w milczeniu tkała serwetę, spytałam ją z niezręcznością i naiwnością małej dziesięcioletniej dziewczynki tamtych czasów:
-Dlaczego nie chcesz wyjść za mąż?Westchnęła, śliniąc z lubością nitkę, nim przeciągnęła ją przez ucho igły.
-Poślubię tylko tego, któremu uda się otworzyć moje serce – odpowiedziała tajemniczo, pochylając się znów nad swoją pracą.
Nie wiedziałam co myśleć o tej rozmowie. Jakim to kluczem można otworzyć czyjeś serce? Myślałam, lecz odpowiedzi nie mogłam znaleźć.
Kiedy wszystkie swaty spełzły na niczym, rodzice Helenki postanowili przyjechać i zabrać ją z powrotem na wieś. Na tydzień przed ich przybyciem pękła rura przy umywalce i woda zaczęła zalewać nasz dom. Gdzie znaleźć hydraulika w chwili, w której wszystko staje w wodzie? Jeśli jednak los sprzyja, staje się to możliwe. A losem Helenki było by hydraulik przyszedł w samą porę. I by był młodzianem o mężnym spojrzeniu, które przeszywało dreszczem.
Kiedy odszedł, serce Helenki pozostało dla niego otwarte, mimo że nie wiedziała nawet jakie jest jego imię. Czy jeszcze go kiedyś zobaczy?
Gdy matka otworzyła szafkę, znalazła pod umywalką jedno zapomniane narzędzie.
-Młodzieniec nie wziął swojego francuskiego klucza. Moja Helenko, pobiegnij do jego warsztatu, przy placu, oddaj mu go.
Helenka wybiegła w podskokach i spóźniła się sporo z powrotem. Poprosiła rodziców o odłożenie podróży. Przybyli po trzech miesiącach, przywożąc prezent z okazji zaręczyn.
Ja zaś byłam już pewna, że serca dają się otwierać francuskim kluczem…
