“Europejski Dzień Języków” (Warszawa, 24-29/9/2012) – Udział Biura Prasowego

Biuro Prasowe Ambasady Grecji w Warszawie kolejny raz uczestniczyło w „Europejskim Dniu Języków 2012” – serii wydarzeń kulturalnych, które miały miejsce w Warszawie w dniach 24-29 września i miały za cel popularyzację wiedzy na temat kulturowego i językowego dziedzictwa Europy.
Organizacją zajęło się 18 państw – członków EUNIC Cluster Warszawa (European Union National Institutes of Culture). Wśród nich znalazło się Biuro Prasowe Ambasady Grecji, instytucje kulturalne i ambasady krajów europejskich jak również inne instytucje m.in. Przedstawicielstwo Komisji Europejskiej w Polsce, Biuro Informacyjne Parlamentu Europejskiego w Polsce, Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji, Uniwersytet Warszawski.
Program (www.edj.waw.pl) składał się z konferencji, lekcji pokazowych, seminariów, festiwalu filmów europejskich, warsztatów teatralnych, gier miejskich, pikniku językowego i innych.
Program greckich wydarzeń zawierał:

• Lekcję pokazową języka nowogreckiego, która odbyła się 25 września w Instytucie Kultury Polskiej Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego.
• Greckie stoisko informacyjne, które 25 września w godzinach 9-15 znajdowało się na Kampusie Głównym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, gdzie udzielano informacji o Grecji i języku nowogreckim.
• Pokaz filmu „Diolkos 1500 lat” 24 września podczas festiwalu filmowego zorganizowanego przez Rosyjski Ośrodek Nauki i Kultury w Warszawie w dniach 24-27 września.
• Zabawę z językiem nowogreckim w ramach gry miejskiej, która miała miejsce 29 września.

Inne wydarzenia, które zorganizowano w tygodniu 24-29 września to: dwudniowa konferencja „ICT and Social Media in Language Education”, warsztaty teatralne, gry miejskie oraz konkursy internetowe. W tym roku projekt przyciągnął wielu uczniów i innych odwiedzających i z całą pewnością był idealną okazją do poznania języka i kultury greckiej.

Εκδηλώσεις για τον Παπαδιαμάντη – Ημερίδα Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας & Αφήγηση Παραμυθιών (Βαρσοβία, 28-29/9/2012)

Στις 28 και 29 Σεπτεμβρίου το Ινστιτούτο Διεπιστημονικών Ερευνών “Artes Liberales” (Τμήμα Ελληνικών Σπουδών) του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας και ο Σύνδεσμος «Φίλων της Ελλάδας» διοργάνωσαν εκδηλώσεις με τίτλο «Ο Παπαδιαμάντης στην Βαρσοβία», οι οποίες περιελάμβαναν επιστημονική ημερίδα και αφήγηση παραμυθιών.
Την Παρασκευή, 28 Σεπτεμβρίου, πραγματοποιήθηκε ημερίδα με θέμα «Επιστημονικό απόγευμα με τον Παπαδιαμάντη», στην διάρκεια της οποίας αναλύθηκαν διάφορες πτυχές του έργου του Παπαδιαμάντη.
Η καθηγήτρια του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας, Małgorzata Borowska, ανέπτυξε το θέμα “Συντηρητικός και καινοτόμος. Για το έργο του Παπαδιαμάντη», ο καθηγητής του Πανεπιστημίου του Wroclaw, Ηλίας Βράζας, μίλησε με θέμα «Ο Παπαδιαμάντης ανάμεσα στην Ανατολή και τη Δύση» και ο Στέλιος Πελασγός παρουσίασε το θέμα «Πως γίνεται κανείς μύθος. Η ζωή και το έργο του Παπαδιαμάντη στην λαϊκή φαντασία των Ελλήνων».
Ο λέκτορας του Πανεπιστημίου Βαρσοβίας, Przemysław Kordos, παρουσίασε την εκδοτική σειρά «Αριστουργήματα της Νεοελληνικής λογοτεχνίας» του Τμήματος Ελληνικών Σπουδών και ανακοίνωσε την προσεχή έκδοση δίτομης μετάφρασης στην πολωνική γλώσσα επιλεγμένων διηγημάτων  του Παπαδιαμάντη. Τέλος, ο Michał Kononiuk έκανε προβολή φωτογραφιών με τίτλο «Η Σκιάθος με τα πόδια. Στα ίχνη του Παπαδιαμάντη».
Η ημερίδα συνοδεύτηκε από μικρή έκδοση με τίτλο «Η Σκιάθος του Αλεξάνδρου Παπαδιαμάντη», η οποία αποτελεί προδημοσίευση μεταφράσεων στην πολωνική γλώσσα αποσπασμάτων από διηγήματα του Παπαδιαμάντη και περιλαμβάνει φωτογραφίες της Σκιάθου.
Το Σάββατο, 29 Σεπτεμβρίου, πραγματοποιήθηκε «Βραδιά παραμυθιών με τον Παπαδιαμάντη», στην διάρκεια της οποίας ο Στέλιος Πελασγός αφηγήθηκε παραμύθια, με την συνοδεία παραδοσιακής και βυζαντινής μουσικής από την Δομινίκη Μαυρίδου.
Στην εκδήλωση παρουσιάστηκε έκθεση φωτογραφιών ελληνικών νησιών, την οποία επιμελήθηκε η φωτογράφος Ewa Ciżewicz, μέλος του Συνδέσμου «Φίλων της Ελλάδας». 
Την ημερίδα παρακολούθησε η προϊσταμένη του Γραφείου Τύπου Μαρία Μονδέλου, η οποία παρέστη και στην βραδιά αφήγησης παραμυθιών.

“Opera of the Summer” / “Opera Lata” (15th September 2012) – Participation of the Press Office with the film “Diolkos”

Summer Opera is an interdisciplinary outdoor event, entirely devoted to ‘the joy of music’ in a broad perspective: to create music, to listen to it, to understand it, to appreciate it and to dance on it.
Summer Opera is the follow-up of last year’s “Awakening of the summer” which was organized by the network of national institutes for culture and embassies in Warsaw: “EUNIC Warszawa” and CCA Zamek Ujazdowski and which brought 3000 persons to the castle on a warm midsummer night.
This year, once again, the gracious environment of the Castle will transform into a lively European boulevard and the keyword is ‘Opera’. Opera’ in the sense of a spectacular synthesis of arts; combining various elements, often surprising and sometimes disturbing, but always fascinating. The main role in the Summer Opera will be played by cinematography. 3 screens will show documentaries devoted to musicians, music and instruments. There will be animation- and feature films as well as music videos from several European countries and even a silent film. Feel like doing it? There will be a voice-workshop, lessons in Irish dancing, you can make music on what needs to be recycled and – of course – the opera brings also a music workshop for children and parents. Workshops are dedicated to everyone: those talented and those who cannot sing or play.
An Opera is not an Opera without a choir and an orchestra! Therefore on stage: Małe Instrumenty (Poland), Alfredo Costa Monteiro (Portugal) and Anthony Chorale (The Netherlands) and in the late hours: DJ Disco DJ Partizanti (Poland) and DJ PM Misha (Portugal).
For the hungry and thirsty the opera will serve Hungarian, Portuguese and Czech delights and more, more, more!
The opera brings thunder and lightning, but in case the weather is not in harmony with the opera, we will go inside. 
Workshops are open for everyone. No registration needed.

A movie for the Diolkos of Corinth

1.500 years since the construction and use of the Corinthian Diolkos, the Technical Chamber of Greece in collaboration with the Society for the Study of Ancient Greek Technology, created a movie presenting one of the greatest innovations of technical civilization of Ancient Greece.
The 22 min. film, created with the use of 3D animations, represents one of the most important technological monuments of Greek civilization, Diolkos: an overland route for the transfer of ships between the Saronic and Corinthian gulfs along the Isthmus (Corinth), when there was no strait. The film offers many other technical details, but also extensive scenes of marine life in antiquity: gaming, visit at the Temple of Poseidon, fun time in a pub, the construction of Hydraulis (hydraulic, water music instrument) and an emotional confrontation.
